Do you want know how chicken lay healthy eggs ?

Vitamin D is key to optimising calcium absorption

The rapid growth rate of modern day poultry requires supplementation of essential nutrients for support of growth and health, all the while trying to maximise and attain its full genetic potential.

Calcium and phosphorus are essential nutrients involved in many biological processes. Both of these minerals play roles in the skeleton, metabolic balance, blood clotting, enzyme activation, neuromuscular function, nucleic acids and many more functions and processes of the living system.

The Vitamin D3 is the crucial component for the bone formation or for a good egg quality. The micro element magnesium is essential for the bone- and egg shell matrix. The body needs vitamin D3 to absorb calcium. Without enough vitamin D3, the body can’t form enough of the hormone calcitriol. This in turn leads to unsatisfactory calcium absorption from the feed. In deficiency, the body utilises calcium from its stores in the skeleton, which weakens existing bone and prevents the formation of strong, new bone. Calcium, vitamin D3 and magnesium should be supplemented to bird. It supports bird to keep the calcium balance in an optimum condition. It increases the egg production and improves poor egg shell quality. Improves growth and bone strength, prevent bone disorders. Prevents the decrease of blood Ca and Mg levels.

BONE HEALTH

One of the most important roles of vitamin D3 is to maintain skeletal calcium balance by promoting calcium absorption in the intestines, promoting bone resorption by increasing osteoclast number, maintaining calcium and phosphate levels for bone formation, and allowing proper functioning of parathyroid hormone to maintain serum calcium levels. Vitamin D3 deficiency can result in lower bone mineral density and an increased risk of bone loss (osteoporosis), Rickets.

IMMUNE SYSTEM

Vitamin D3 receptor ligands have been shown to increase the activity of natural killer cells, and enhance the phagocytic activity of macrophages.

THE EGGSHELL

The eggshell is a highly specialized mineralized structure, which provides protection against physical damage and penetration by micro-organisms. The egg shell consists of the inner and outer shell membranes, the true shell and the cuticle. The crystalline layer of the shell, which is responsible for its mechanical strength, consists of more than 90% calcium in the form of calcium carbonate. Calcium is absorbed from the feed in the intestine. Provided that sufficient calcium (3.8–4.2%) is present in the feed, the process of calcium uptake, deposition and excretion is regulated by vitamin D3 and its metabolites. Intra Calferol takes care for sufficient Calcium to build up this eggshell and sufficient level of vitamin D3 to absorb the calcium.

For strong eggs & bones use CALVITAM EGG

More advantages of using CALVITAM EGG are as follow:

• Overcomes problems of thin shelled and leathery egg

• Reduces incidences of uneven and rough eggshell

• Reduces incidences of shell fracture with hair line cracks

• For bone strengthening
